A Day At The Park...

We went with some friends to an Aurora park last week and as usual, Aubrey had a BLAST!! The weather has been getting cooler lately and we have been doing our best to get outside as much as possible before being shut in for the winter.

Aubrey on the zip line....
Aubrey oves parks... but adores any park that has a tunnel!! She crawled through this one a few hundred times before we left.

Daddy and Aubrey playing on the Pirate Ship!
We also stopped by a small zoo in Aurora and Aubrey got along well with their turkey!! He showed off all of his feathers while she talked to him.

A Day At The Fair...

We met some friends at the Sandwich Fair last weekend. We had such a great day!
Aubrey was able to experience so many new things and of course fell in love with fair food... lemonade and elephant ears were the favorite of the day! She rode on a train, a tractor that was just her size, a VERY LARGE tractor, a carousel, and the favorite of the day was getting to ride on a pony!
When Evan put Aubrey on top of her pony she was wide eyed and her mouth dropped open. She laughed and started petting him... I do not think she could believe he was real!
We spent the rest of the day exploring. She saw many types of farm animals, Evan and Dan attended the tractor pull, we shopped, rode rides, and played games.

We are so blessed to have such wonderful families and the Lord has blessed us indeed with many wonderful friends!
Aubrey rode the train with Beka
The caboose

Evan played a strong man's game and he won...
an inflatable sword :D
The pony ride...
( Don't worry Mimi, Evan held her the ENTIRE time)
Aubrey LOVES accessories...
The Carousel...
We rode the Dizzy Dino... Aubrey was saying all done the moment it started!
Evan returned to his childhood when he rode a truly ridiculous ride with Beka...
They are indeed upside down. The ride swung like a pendulum until they were upside down...

our A-Frame Getaway...

The A-Frame
It was a great getaway to a small town outside of Galena!!
Evan's parents have an A-Frame house and it is always WONDERFUL to escape reality for a few days! Evan and I have not been to the house since November... it was great to get back. The Lord refuels in ways I haven't found elsewhere when we go there. This was Aubrey's 3rd time visiting and this was a time I believe she will remember....

Aubrey's first of MANY times in the hammock!
She loved swinging as fast as she could and would belly laugh the faster it went!
Aubrey wore a jacket for the first time and was OBSESSED!
She liked the zipper and wanted to wear the hood the entire time it was on.
We went for MANY walks and she enjoyed some more than others :D

Everyone is staring at vines that have overtaken many trees in the area and I guess Aubrey was pondering them as well.
A tribute to Bethany and Brennan...
We still had marshmallows left over from the Lake House and they were enjoyed
while sitting by the campfire!
Nana and Bumpa have a weed pulling game they like to play...
Bumpa was taking Aubrey on weed pulling trips and explaining the point values for the different weeds. I think she just enjoyed the yanking them out of the ground portion of the game.
We walked through a wooded area and to a field that overlooked many farms in the area... it was Beautiful!

We found CORN!!

Nana brought crackers in case we saw deer, but Aubrey spotted them.
What else would a grandma do than give the crackers to her grand child?!?!?
OOOHHHHHH Aubrey!
Daddy was heping Aubs make things with her Play-Dough

Nana was coloring with Aubrey while Evan and his dad did something manly for the day...
The manly activity....
A tree fell and they needed to dispose of it... so grab you power saw

Aubrey enjoying another relaxing day! CHEESE!
My dad gave this chair to Evan's parents and I thought it was fun when Aubrey wanted to climb in to recline. A little bit of PopPop at the A-Frame!
