Apple Picking

We have established a tradition now... when fall arrives we go apple picking!
Last year we were dressed in winter gear and Aubrey was in a snow suit...
this year it was 85 degrees! What a BEAUTIFUL day!!
We went to a nearby farm and picked apples, ate apples, played in corn, picnicked, picked pumpkins, rode ponies, and shared a great time with good friends!
There has been a lot going on lately in this crazy thing we call life... our day at Kuipers Family Farm truly resemble what God breathed when you read:
"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!" - Psalm 118:23-25

We are off to pick some apples!!

Aubrey began running around looking for apples IMMEDIATELY!!
There were apples all over the ground because it was the last weekend of apple picking.
All of the apples on the ground made one thing VERY EASY...
Aubrey and the kids had everything they needed with in reach and they ate...
and ate...
and ate....
She also helped us pick our apples.
Aubrey did a great job finding them on her own...
Once Aubrey was done picking she sat down with her great gal pal Olivia
and they enjoyed the days weather and work...
After our bags were filled we sat and enjoyed the day with great friends...
Mario, Leigh, and their daughter Olivia.
Colleen, Bob, and their son Kevin.

And of course... US!
Leigh was very proud of her ONLY FROM THE TREE apples!
We had two bags until...
Aubrey broke one trying to get apples and then Evan had a great idea...
We had a good old fashion duck race! This was hilarious!
The kids (daddies) really got into it!
You pump water and the rubber duckies "swim" down a tube to a tub at the end of the tube.
We swung on horses made from tires.
Evan REALLY enjoyed himself... can't you tell!
We also played in the best thing ever!!!!
There were a few large "corn boxes", the kiddos were able to scoop, pour, and dig.
Aubrey was buried in the corn and preferred that much more than sand!
We then picked pumpkins and Aubrey found a small one for herself!
Then she found some great pumpkins for us to take home and carve!
Before going home we rode ponies...
Aubrey was ready to go home after the long day!!!!
We have made apple pies and apple cakes since our day of picking!

Enjoying Home

Aubrey especially enjoys taking her hair bows out and the end result is beautiful messy hair...
Aubrey and daddy climbing through the tunnel... CHEESE!!!
Aubrey thought it was hilarious to crawl up Evan and get through...
Aubrey is becoming good friends with a neighbor two doors down and he lent Aubs this race car for the day. I think you can imagine the squeals of laughter and the conversations that came out of the afternoon of fun... VROOM VROOM!!
We wake up and want to color... we eat and want to color... we play and then want to color...
Aubrey helping daddy fix her remote control car...
ISN'T SHE BEAUTIFUL!! My daughter LOVES sunglasses and her footy-pajamas!
The only problem with her pj's is that we put her to bed in them and when we go to get her in the morning she has them off and laying on the floor. She then proceeds to say Aubrey zip jammies... off.
I am so happy to be home with Aubrey! She is growing so much each day and it is unbelievable to watch the changes take place. We thought it was amazing when she finally began naming objects and started using words to express things to us. Aubrey is now talking in 3 to 4 word sentences and her personality it becoming bigger everyday!
I approached the fall wondering what we would do with our time during the week. but the Lord has provided so many great opportunities for us! Aubrey has classes on Tuesday at the library that we enjoy together and with a friend, she has play dates on wednesday with my mom, and on thursday she attends a "preschool" class while I attend a bible study. The week is full, but the time has become so precious to me. I can not thank the Lord enough for providing us with the opportunity to grow and learn together!
