SUMMER

I have truly enjoyed and been blessed with having the summer off! I can not thank Evan enough for giving me this opportunity with or daughter. Aubrey has grown so much in the past 2 months. I can't help but "give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done". Being able to stay home and make countless memories has been an indescribable joy.  We have shared moments with friends, taken Thursdays to enjoy lunch with Pop Pop and Aubrey's cousins, had adventurous dinners with NaNa and Grandpa, enjoyed Story Time on Tuesday mornings, journeyed to the zoo, explored the Shedd Aquarium, played at the pool, experienced life with MiMi :D, laughed together, cried together, and learned a few new "tricks". We still have more summer time moments ahead of us and I can not wait to engrave each of them on my heart!

A friend we have spent a lot of time with, is Micah. He has truly come out of his shell with Aubrey and it is great to see the two of them enjoying childhood together. We went and purchased an AMAZING LIPSTICK PINK stroller today with Micah and his mom, Marybeth!!! Aubrey has had her eye on this particular stroller for a while and her dreams came true today...

Doesn't she look AMAZING!

When we went out, Micah really enjoyed my phone. He played with it for a while and soon figured out how to open it and tried dialing dad at work...

As we have journeyed through the summer together Micah and Aubrey have begun talking more and more with one another. They were carrying on quite the conversation today; before the camera went on (go figure). If only we knew what they were saying.

Our trip to Michigan and the ever growing family

We took a trip to Michigan last weekend. We had not been to visit for a while and we had not seen our friends in a few months. A.J. and Sarah have two children; Kaitlyn (2) and Judson (10 months). It is so wonderful to see them and we truly enjoy our time together. It is always wonderful to get together with friends and feel as though no time has ever passed. They are amazing parents and we are blessed to have the opportunity to raise children together.

We went to the park one morning and Aubrey swung on a swing for the first time; she happened to be sharing with Judson. :) It was fun watching the two of them together! They would crawl together and pull out each others pacifiers. They would also try talking with one another or Judson would just stare. Here are a few pics from our weekend.

The Moms were getting dinner ready and the kidos were watching a video.

Kaitlyn and her Uncle Evan. She thought he was SUPER COOL!

Gifts from New York

Evan's parents went to visit Brennan and Bethany in New York and they came home with some very cool gifts. Aubrey received clothing from the Natural History Museum and some onesies that let everyone know that people in New York love her, but she loved this gift the best...

Evan enjoyed launching cherries from a catapult and playing with a bug that is affected by noise or touch. This is how that went...

They were wonderful Father's Day gifts for an incredible dad!

She is on the move...

Aubrey has perfected her skills these days. She has taken army crawling to a whole new level! We often find her racing across the floor to the most dangerous item in the room; even when surrounded by toys! Days are now busier than ever and we have learned a lot after witnessing many bumps. We spend the day playing and do not spend so much time worrying about what is not getting done around the house. Everything can wait while we enjoy her laughter filled endless exploration.
