Snow Day Fun

We ventured out again today; just Aubrey and I.
Aubrey was much more at home in the snow now that it has been plowed.
She laughed a lot when she was able to find very large snowballs and throw them at me!
Here are some pics from our day!

The BLIZZARD!

I can not believe it really happened!!! We had a winter storm when they said we would!
School has been canceled... Evan couldn't go tot work... and Aubrey was wanting to go out!
We ventured out to see it all and to try sledding.... we ended up back inside moments later and bunkered down on the couch....
Aubrey was being very brave and the moment she walked out she fell and well you can tell what her thoughts were about the winter storm from this picture...
The following pictures are from various parts of our home...
We had snow drifts up to 4ft in the front and and over a foot in the back by our garage... It was incredible to see it all, but truly beautiful to see the power!
Aubrey was very interested in the snow blowers that came by to n bury our sidewalk.
We watched the help we got from her window for a while...

When Daddy Is Away

Evan was out of town for a week and there were many thoughtful people around us!!
It was a very busy week especially now that I am back to work part-time, but play dates and visits made the week go quickly. Before Evan left we had a great movie night; popcorn and all!!
Reading Daddy's book... she made up the best story for me!
We recently purchased some art bins for Aubrey and well we are rethinking our choice :D
The bins are great, but EVERYTHING is at her fingertips and we can not get enough of coloring, painting, or play dough!
We had our first "sleep over" while daddy was away! Aubrey's bestie Olivia came over and spent the day and night. Chasing 2 two year olds around was quite the feat, but by 6:45pm they were both passed out for the night! They had a great time with Aubrey's tent, art supplies, and tea set! Here are a few pictures from their day!
We were also visited by some out of town guests.... AJ and Sarah were in town from Michigan and it was really great having them over for dinner!! The kids played so well! They shared some popcorn and pretzels over a movie. We were all laughing and taking joy from listening to the giggles coming from the living room! Evan and AJ have been close friends for MANY years and I truly enjoy the company and friendship I have with Sarah. To see our children enjoy their time together is a blessing beyond words!
