Fieldtrips

I was able to take my niece on a field trip to the Shedd Aquarium this past week.
It was a great experience to share with her and her class.
Here are a few pictures from the day. We watched the octopus for 10 to 15 minutes. It kept suctioning to the glass and then it would move all over the tank... the kids LOVED it!
Norah and a good friend trying to get a good look at the penguins.
I just had to post this! HAHA

The Zoo FINALLY!

We had our chance to go to the zoo over the weekend and we took it!
It was the first of many trips for the season; I am sure! It is amazing to hear and see all of Aubrey's reactions to the animals. She understands so much and is always asking questions and trying to figure more and more things out.
This was so cool for her... the bear was right by the glass sleeping.
I thought a few people who follow our blog would appreciate this:
We were able to sit in the front and center for the Dolphin show!
Aubrey laughed each time the dolphins were in full view.
Looking at the lions.
She was finally able to do some "interacting" with the information around the zoo; as long as she was on tip toes...
Daddy and Aubrey checking out the monkeys.
She is a climber...
I thought this was cute...
She was VERY afraid of the kangaroo... I grabbed her and Evan took the photo.
As you can see she loved it!

Friends

We had a play date with our good friend Sammy last week.
This was a special time because Sammy has a big sister, but today Sydney was not around. Aubrey had Samantha all to herself... and they played their hearts out!
Whenever Samantha comes to our house she dresses up every baby or animal she can find.
She always dresses them and Aubrey walks them in her stroller :D
The girls reading ... just after nap.
I am so thankful for the friends that Aubrey has!
She truly seems to love playing with them and is always SO excited to see them!

JUMP ZONE!!

We went with some friends to a place called Jump Zone... basically a warehouse of large blow ups for kids to bounce in. I was nervous because Aubrey has done this once before and was afraid to go in the things let alone move, but today was MUCH different! She loved it!
There was so much laughter and so many screams! I loved watching and listening to her, she truly had a blast! To be a child... to watch is a privilege and blessing in itself!
They had a Sesame Street blow up.
There were all sorts of fun activities to do inside....
Aubrey wanted nothing to do with climbing and sliding until her friend Kevin climbed in.
Once she saw him trying it out the chase up the ladder was on! I wish I would have been fast enough to snap a picture of her face when she went down the slide, but I was way to slow each and every time!
Aubrey found this tractor when we arrived and drove it to each and every location!
This picture explains it all!
My baby is not a baby anymore!
Aubrey and Kevin were chasing each other around this one each time they would pass one another they would fall down and start laughing and then jump up and do it all again...
Aubrey started climbing up onto the "windows" and jumping from them.. she and her father thought this was hilarious!
The gangs all here!

Around the House...

Play Dough is serious business around here!
Aubrey and her dad made a tea cup and various tea party treats!
This is the closest our child has come to our cats in her life!
They normally hide during the day and immediately come out when her bedroom door closes for the night. We were playing with string and Marbles joined in. Aubrey was elated!
OK so my daughter may kill me later for this BUT IT'S HILARIOUS!
Aubrey wears these under her pajamas and one morning she took them out and wanted them on... so here we are! She is eating veggie snacks and modeling her beautiful long johns!
Smooches!
Aubrey's newest trick! Look mom I can drink from your cup when you aren't looking!
TAAAADAAAAA!
So Aubrey loves the tunnel that goes with her tent!!
She likes to crawl in... stand up... push it down... and let go!
This is her face as she gets ready for it to POP!
This is her face after the POP!

Spring Is Near!

We had a string of nice days last week and we were outside for EVERY ONE of them!
We made trips to the park and played in the drive and front yard. It is incredible to see all that Aubrey is experiencing, exploring, and learning about! She is miss independent lately and it is amusing to see her little mind working!

SIDEWALK CHALK!
We traced Aubrey....

Evan has been getting things ready for us to start planting and Aubrey thought her vegetables would be perfect for Daddy's garden! YUMMY!
We are pedaling now!!!!
Another day of gardening!
Aubrey was on the look out for something to plant with her Daddy...
OOOHHH we found corn...
in the ground it goes...
and now it's time to dig again!
Aubrey was showing Evan rocks, seeds, and berries. Anything she found that she could carry over she would scream "DADDY LOOK WHAT AUBREY FOUND!"
Spring is almost here and I can not wait to start discovering with our little girl!
