A Day Outdoors

We went for an 8 mile walk a few weeks ago. We walked to a nearby lake and spent the day at play! It was a beautiful day that each of us enjoyed thoroughly! Aubrey is very much like her daddy; outdoors is the only place she wants to be!

Spring Is In The Air!

We had a chance to visit Evan at church last week and got away to play at the park and had time for lunch... it was a great afternoon!

Whenever you push Aubrey on her swing she laughs and says higher!! higher!!

Aubrey plays with her house a lot! It is fun to hear her talk with all the people and to hear her making up her own voices and "scripts".

Norah's 7th Birthday!

Our Niece Norah turned seven this week and we were happy to celebrate at her family party.

Aubrey loves visiting her cousins and there was a new little girl to meet; Samantha.

PACI PARTY!!!

So we borrowed an idea from a friend of ours and it was a miracle worker!!!

Aubrey has given up her pacifier two weeks ago and has been sleeping like a champ!

We began cutting her pacifiers a week earlier and explained that they were breaking because Aubrey was getting to big for them. She threw each one away until there was only one left. We bought cupcakes to make for her party, talked about her having a big girl bed, and we bought presents. Monday came and Aubrey was ready for her party. She threw away the last pacifier and hasn't looked back! She is growing up quickly and we really can not believe the little girl we see before us each day! Thank you Lord for the blessing and privilege!

Fieldtrips

I was able to take my niece on a field trip to the Shedd Aquarium this past week.

It was a great experience to share with her and her class.

Here are a few pictures from the day. We watched the octopus for 10 to 15 minutes. It kept suctioning to the glass and then it would move all over the tank... the kids LOVED it!
